The Holy Spirit Chapel

The Holy Spirit Chapel is an Adoration chapel within Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center, Norwood Ohio. George Schulhoff’s first association with the Center came early July 1992. That day he read a story of a retired priest, Fr. Richard Wilhelm’s purchase, June 30th of the old Mt. St. Mary’s Seminary from the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. The same day a phone call was made to Fr. Wilhelm asking if there was a small chapel in the buildings. We were invited for a visit on the following day. The buildings were in decline, having been vacant for twelve years. Roofs were leaking, paint was peeling and plaster falling. The ceiling of the small chapel had collapsed and walls had bulged. Five days later the A.H.S. had permission to rebuild, decorate, and name the chapel. George’s prayers were answered. He would dedicate the chapel to the Holy Spirit. An opportunity he had waited for for three years.
It is our prayer that one day the Chapel of the Holy Spirit will be an honored place of Perpetual Adoration.
